New Wave Start Option for the 2014 Triathlon

New for 2014: Due to the increase in the number of participants, we will offer an experienced triathlete wave at the start of the race. This allows experienced triathletes to complete the swim and get on the bike course sooner, providing a safer flow of athletes throughout the race course. Please note, the experienced triathlete wave placement does not affect overall results as swim start is still chip timed.

Triathlon Kits Available!

Don't forget! After you sign up, don't miss your chance to purchase the WIN for KC Triathlon tri kit. Made especially for WIN, the kit is perfect for the first-timer or the experienced triathlete.

Green Efforts

WIN for KC will be undergoing re-certification in 2014! Check back for updates on how you can help play your part in this process.

In 2011, WIN for KC was re-certified at the Silver Level by receiving 30 of 33 credits, and is one of only 34 races (and 1 of only 6 triathlons) in the United States to achieve this designation.  Click here to learn about the credits being applied for and the certification process.

The WIN for KC Women's Triathlon received official certification as a green race by the Council for Responsible Sport (ReSport), an organization that provides an independent, comprehensive certification for sustainable athletic events. In 2009, WIN for KC achieved Silver Level status by receiving 27 out of 30 credits, and was one of only 10 races in the United States to achieve this designation.

WIN for KC is proud to represent and be the leader in our region in this very important sustainability initiative. Thank you to all of the sponsors, volunteers and participants for helping to make this happen!

Thank you to our sponsors who helped GREEN the WIN for KC Women's Triathlon!
